This track is a spirited companion to the earlier, more traditional arrangement. It was genuinely fun to record, with vibrant support from Peter, Dean, Serge, and John—each bringing their own rhythmic flair and musical personality to the session.
I doubt the 16th-century composer of the original melody could have imagined it one day rendered in this fashion. I’d like to think they’d smile at the evolution… though it’s entirely possible they’re spinning in their grave. Either way, the music lives on, and I hope this version brings you joy.
